SIP integrations: connect ZuteSIP numbers to softphones, PBX systems and dialers

Short answer: Every ZuteSIP number comes with its own SIP username and password, so you can register it on any SIP-compliant softphone, IP PBX or call-center dialer. Point the app at sip.zutesipdialer.com on port 5060 (UDP/TCP) or 5061 (TLS), enable G.711, and the number rings and dials from that software.

Pick the tool you already use, or choose one from the table below. Each guide walks through the exact fields, inbound and outbound calling, and the fixes for the most common registration and audio problems.

  • Zoiper — Set up a ZuteSIP account in Zoiper 5 on desktop or mobile.
  • MicroSIP — Add your number to the lightweight Windows softphone.
  • Linphone — Use a third-party SIP account in the open-source Linphone app.
  • Bria — Configure a SIP account in Bria on desktop or mobile.
  • Groundwire — Make and receive calls on iPhone or Android with Groundwire.
  • 3CX — Add ZuteSIP as a SIP trunk in a 3CX phone system.
  • FreePBX — Create a PJSIP trunk and inbound route in FreePBX.
  • Asterisk — pjsip.conf registration and dialplan examples.
  • FusionPBX — Gateway setup for FusionPBX and FreeSWITCH.
  • VICIdial — Carrier entry for VICIdial agents and campaigns.

What an integration means here

An integration is simply a SIP registration: your softphone or PBX logs in to our SIP server with the credentials of one number, and from then on incoming calls to that number reach the app while outgoing calls leave with that number as caller ID.

There is nothing to install on our side and no plug-in to buy. The software does the calling; ZuteSIP supplies the real phone number, the SIP account and the network connection behind it. If you would rather install nothing at all, the browser web dialer in the dashboard works with the same number.

Which tool should you pick?

All ten work with the same credentials. The right one depends on your device and whether you need a single phone line or a system that serves a team.

Before you start

  • Buy or open a number and copy its SIP username and password from the number's page in the dashboard.
  • Register one device per set of credentials at a time if you want predictable inbound ringing.
  • Allow outbound traffic on port 5060 or 5061 plus the RTP range your app uses.
  • Keep only PCMU and PCMA enabled while testing, then add others if your app needs them for internal calls.

What integrations do not change

Registering a number in a PBX or dialer does not add features that the service itself does not include. Call recording, voicemail, IVR menus or automatic dialing, where you have them, come from your PBX or dialer software. Emergency calls are not supported on ZuteSIP numbers, so keep another way to reach emergency services.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate subscription for each integration?

No. The SIP credentials are included with every number at no extra cost, and you can move them between apps whenever you like.

Can one number be used in a softphone and the web dialer?

Yes. You can call from the browser web dialer and also register the number in a softphone; for reliable inbound ringing, keep one SIP registration active at a time.

Does ZuteSIP partner with these vendors?

No. These are independent products that follow the SIP standard, and ZuteSIP works with them the same way any SIP account does.

Which transport should I choose?

Start with UDP 5060, which most apps default to. Switch to TCP 5060 or TLS 5061 if your network blocks or rewrites UDP SIP traffic.
